Spring into Action

We all have heard of, and many of us have participated in, New Years Resolutions. You can probably imagine a time where you wrote down each resolution a few days before January 1st… I’ve done this many times in my life, and truthfully it’s about 50% successful each year!

This year, I decided to try something new based on a conversation I had with a friend. In the winter we were talking about this different seasons of life and how our internal reflects the external seasonally so well. We came to this point where we looked at each other, and both asked, “Why the heck would we have resolutions in the butt crack (yes we said this) of winter?! We’re supposed to be resting!”

If you think about this, it’s really true! If you have gardened before, you know most seed starters are extremely hard to start in the dead of winter, most things that are growing are underground and hidden. It makes way more sense to wait to spring, when everything is actually ready to bloom!

This year I am doing Spring Intentions. There’s a reason why you do “spring cleaning”... in the spring! With us being in the last leg of spring, it’s much easier to have vision and focus when you are in connection with what is happening externally. Everything is in bloom. The rains have quieted, letting the land have an opportunity to bloom and showcase growth. It’s the same in us!

I encourage you to try Spring Intentions. Set a new goal in the spring, when your body has more energy than the winter. The season of winter is a time of rest and hiding not just for nature, but for humans as well. Spring truly is about new beginnings, new horizons, and fresh starts!

Cheers to Spring Intentions!
Love,
Cait
